Our pristine waters provide sustenance, define our lifestyles, and have supported Alaska families for millennia. Catch 49 deepens the connection between those who harvest our food and we who eat it, all the while honoring the ocean and the complex ecosystems that sustain our fisheries and ensuring that seafood will sustain Alaska for generations to come.

Catch 49 brings the highest quality seafood staples to your dinner table, as well as species that are unique and hard to find, like Kodiak Tanner crab. Tanner crab, Chionoecetes bairdi, is renowned by seafood connoisseurs for its delicate texture and sweet flavor. Catch 49 invests 100% of profits in fisheries management efforts that help ensure the sustainability of the resource, and Kodiak Tanner crab is a prime example.

Whether you’re one of the more than 27,000 Alaska residents employed directly in the fishing industry or simply an Alaska seafood lover, purchasing your seafood from Catch 49 helps ensure that seafood will sustain Alaska for years to come.

We have year-round offerings, including but not limited to: Bristol Bay sockeye, Copper River sockeye and coho, Gulf of Alaska halibut, Prince William Sound sablefish, Kodiak jigcaught cod, Kodiak jig-caught rockfish, Dungeness crab, Tanner (Bairdi) crab, spot prawns, Thai-style salmon patties, canned goods, and kelp products.

Catch 49 is a program of the Alaska Marine Conservation Council, a nonprofit working to protect and restore the marine environment through sustainable fishing practices, habitat protection, and local stewardship. We support an ecosystem-based approach to marine resource management which incorporates the best science available, experiential knowledge, and the wisdom of tradition. Catch 49 pays a fair price to our fishermen, and all proceeds from seafood sales support conservation efforts in Alaska.
